I am so grateful for the infinitude of Love that is made manifest as my life experiences. I am so grateful to the Love that sustains me in all ways
I chatted to my mother who had already had a shower and was getting ready to go out. I said the day was a lot cooler. She agreed that it was and said it didn't matter whether it was hot or cold, we should always thank God for the day. I thanked her for her reminder.
When I went to catch my local bus, I said hello to this elderly gentleman I've seen on many occasions but I've never spoken to. I asked him how he was. He said he was grateful to be able to experience the day. He said he was brought up to appreciate the moon, sun and the stars as God in manifestation which he's grateful about. He told me that people complain about the weather and yet they forget how cold it used to be in Britain. He said when he first came to the UK from the West Indies in the 60s, the winters were so cold people used to believe the cold weather was coming from Russia. I'm so grateful I wasn't around then.
On the bus my friend and I chatted some more. He said a lot of people take their health for granted. When someone threaten to or attacks someone, it's because he's in good health. The thought would not even cross someone's mind if he was weak. My friend said he always thanked God for his health. He told me a story about when he was 13 years old and one morning he went to fetch some water from a standpipe. While he was carrying it, a young man approached him with a machete. The angry man was the older brother of a boy he'd had a row with. My friend said he was trying not to drop his bucket of water but slipped and fell. He felt his hip and back give way and felt this sharp pain. Just before he was going to pass out he thought” Lord have mercy" and instantly his back was restored. He said he's always believed in the power of God.
While we were chatting my friend asked me if I went to church and I said I didn't but I believed in God. He said he also followed no religion but believed in God. I was so grateful to meet another kindred spirit.
I caught my next bus into town and changed to catch another one but the next one was taking a while to arrive. I thought of the wonderful bus service we already have in London and I felt really grateful. Just at that moment, I noticed a purple van for E-Courier across the road. Every time I see their vans they make me smile because they have such positive messages about smiling. The driver was playing the Bob Marley song - "One Love."
One LoveYes, there is so much to be grateful for. Thank you driver.
One Heart!
Sayin': give thanks and praise
to the Lord and I will feel all right
The next bus to arrive wasn't the one I wanted. I figured I would get on and change down the road to another route. On the bus there was one seat available near the window. I asked the lady next to the seat if she could move so I could sit there. She looked as if she was in pain.
I admired her finger nails. She said they weren't her real nails, they were acrylic. She said she bites her nails. I told her they were pretty all the same. She said she still bites the acrylic nails which she likes eating for some strange reason. I told her that I could understand because I liked eating tissue paper. My friend said she liked eating paper. I couldn't believe I'd met another kindred spirit!
My friend told me she was in a lot of pain because she was playing Rounders yesterday in the park as it was a beautiful day. I patted her arm and told her the pain would pass. I asked her what park she had been in and she said it was Victoria Park. It happens to be one of the few parks in London I haven't been to. I intend to explore it as soon as possible because you never know, I might just decide to move out of London and I wouldn't want to miss out on that park.
It's amazing how the Universe sends kindred spirits who mirror what I'm being.
I am so grateful to love and be loved.
