No Comparisons

There is a series on television at the moment called Britain's Favourite View where various celebrities nominate a city or landmark they are very fond of such as The Lake District, Stonehenge, London, and Isle of Skye, and viewers have to vote which of these cities or landmarks should win the coveted title, Britain's Favourite View.

Personally, I can't choose between any of the areas nominated. For instance, the Lake District is picturesque and beautiful, yet, I can't compare it to London because both have are special and appealing in their own way. I guess I won't be voting for any then.

I believe while every day emerges from the eternal Now of Inexhaustible Love, I see each day as unique and filled with its own wonder. When I start to compare one day with the next, then I perceive one day as better or worse than another and according to my perception so is my experience. On the other hand, when I accept each day as unique of itself, then I expect each day to be full of its own magic.

Earlier on my bus journey I left a bag I had with me on the bus. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was mine but it was my mother's. At first I was frustrated with myself for not taking care. After I chatted to a friend via email about the experience who was very supportive I let the experience go. I would love to have the bag returned of course so I can have more experiences of it. I also know there are lots more bags to enjoy.

I believe we are all unique and magical in our own way. Let us stop comparing ourselves and start appreciating who we are as the Wonder that we are.
