At the library I noticed the librarian was diligently writing by hand. It was such a novelty to see someone actually writing in longhand that I stopped to admire what she was doing.
I guess I'm so used to typing that writing by hand seems so archaic, so twentieth century. The odd occasion when I've made notes from a book or a website, it was so painfully slow, it was pure torture.
My mother still writes by hand and her handwriting is brilliant, like calligraphy actually.
It's good to know how to write by hand in case of emergencies.
