Detour

At some point during my bus journey, instead of crossing over a junction and going straight, the bus turned left.

"What bus is this?" I asked the woman beside me.

"It's the 476," she said, "it's just going this way because they are digging ahead."

"Oh good, I thought for a moment I had got on the wrong bus," I chuckled.

"I know what you mean. You tend to panic when the bus is not going where you expect it to. He's going to turn in the next right and we'll back on track. At least that's what he did yesterday."

"Thank you."

Sure enough, the bus turned into the next road on the right and we were back on track, way ahead of the roadworks.

I have observed that in order to avoid any "obstacles" life tends to take detours. The trick is to realise that it's always headed in the right direction that's appropriate for me. During the detours there are always wonderful gems to discover along the way.

No matter what the appearances or the delays, everything is unfolding perfectly. Relax and enjoy the journey.
