My friend's response was:
Cats are TOTALLY self-centred. Don't you think they are a warning to us!!!Part of my response was:
Actually, that's what I LOVE about cats that they are TOTALLY self-centred. Cats teach us how to be true to ourselves. They don't have to prove anything nor do they have to earn anything. They are loved for who they are not for what they do.* (Saviour relates to our disparate world views: my friend is from the school of changing the world by your actions; while I'm from the school of be yourself and your world changes).
I'm very catlike in that respect. My only purpose is to be true to myself. When I'm being true to myself, I don't find the necessity to change others, everything falls into place. That's why I don't believe in a Saviour.* Each of us is the Christ and Saviour we only have to be the Love that we are.
So if cats are self-centred then so am I, and I'm proud of it.
I love cats and I love being myself.
