My weekly bus pass expired yesterday. I intended to buy the new one this morning but I decided I would take a walk instead. When I came across a newsagent, I bought the new one in the shop. I was pleased to discover that the price had been reduced. Now that I had my pass, I could very easily have jumped on the bus, but something told me to keep walking. I find walking gives me the opportunity to ponder on some ideas, which today was about how Love influences one's behaviour.
As I came across an intersection I noticed some flowers had been placed on the barrier. People usually do that when a loved one has died around that area. It was then I realised that it was for someone who had been killed in an accident recently.
In fact, on that particular day, I had been inspired to walk instead of getting the bus. When I arrived at that junction, I noticed part of the road had been cordoned off by the Police because of an accident that happened earlier, where a car had hit the traffic signal. As I walked by I thought about the victim and everyone affected by that accident and sent them love. I then wrote an article about my experience. It was only later, when I saw a sign by the Police asking for eye witnesses, that I realised the accident had been fatal.
So as I observed the flowers that had been laid out, I thought about the "victim." The moment I did, I felt a presence around me and the presence started speaking in my head. He thanked me for being there for him when he had "passed over." He said my love had been such a help to him. He said that every moment one gives out love is imprinted in the universe forever. He said he was very happy and at peace now and was with his "real family." He said he was always with me. He also told me stuff that relates to my own personal experience, which I am not going to share here.
My friend and I parted company; or rather, I pretended to say goodbye to him even though I know he's always with me.
Love is forever.
